The Bonifacio Christmas Market

From December 7, Christmas returns to the citadel for eleven festive days. On the program: a gourmet and designer market in the Pisan district, a competition for the most beautiful Christmas window in the Upper Town, on the Marine and in the various businesses in the activity zones, concerts, evenings, numerous activities for children... But also, a city decorated and with sound for the occasion, sport with the traditional city trail in December. The opportunity to discover Bonifacio differently and above all, to experience a Bonifacian moment in its own right.

Around thirty exhibitors are set up in wooden chalets forming a “Christmas village” around the Arsenal hall to allow you to discover a rich and varied local craftsmanship: decoration, objects, original jewelry, catering specialties, beers, liqueurs, clothing and accessories, seafood, cold meats, toys, cosmetic products, essential oils, pancakes, chocolates, pastries, bakeries, delicatessens… plenty of options for doing your Christmas shopping in an original way, in a authentic setting and a friendly atmosphere.

The Arsenal hall, for its part, welcomes “gourmet” exhibitors who offer to taste their products on site with friends or family. But also products to take away to offer or serve during the holidays.

Sandwiches with figatellu, pancetta, sausages or black pudding, brioche breads with fish or cold meats, fish and oysters, terrines, toast, migliaccioli, tapas plates, sushi, fries, chestnut cones, cookies… a festival of know-how is present every day to delight the taste buds and allow everyone to come and spend a culinary moment full of discoveries.

Concerts take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the heart of the Christmas market. Lyrical singing, Christmas carol and gospel concerts also take place in the churches of the citadel. Festive or sacred music guaranteed!

 

For children, many activities are organized and every day is different! Parade of luminous characters, Christmas circus workshops, creative workshops around Christmas traditions from around the world, sporting and festive challenges, donkey or pony rides, creation of a collective Christmas fresco, Christmas fair, meeting with the father Christmas… there will be something for all tastes and all ages.

In addition to being able to find gift ideas from the exhibitors in the chalets and the Arsenal hall, visitors can come from December 1st to do their shopping in Haute-Ville, on the Marine and in the various shops in the tourist areas. activities (Shopping center, Saint-Albert, Musella). Among the open businesses, visitors can shop in various areas: clothing and accessories, jewelry, caterers, etc.

Window competition
You will be able to vote from Thursday December 7 to Saturday December 16 for the most beautiful store decoration and try to win a gift by drawing lots. Votes must be placed in a ballot box placed under the Arsenal hall. Important information, even closed businesses are invited to play the game. You will therefore have to watch out for all the storefront embellishments.

Sports entertainment

In parallel with the Market, “La Spassighata” will take place on Saturday December 16 at 5:30 p.m.
The Spassighjata Bunifazinca is a self-sufficient 8.5 km Christmas city trail. The positive altitude difference is 350 meters. Bibs can be collected between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
A headlamp or ventral lamp is obligatory. Costumes are recommended.
Departure from the port for a run through the alleys and staircases of the citadel.
