This walk is on the paradisiac setting of the Lavezzu island, part of the archipelago of the group of Lavezzi islands. Relax on one of the numerous finely sanded beaches and swim in the transparent waters. All along the path, you will discover its amazing landscape: unique granite chaos of Corsica.
Description
History fans will also be satisfied, as there are several cemeteries and monuments, tributes to the victims of the terrible 1855 Sémillante shipwreck. Nature here is extremely protected by the Environmental Office of Corsica: as indeed you are in the Nature Reserve of the Strait of Bonifacio! In the shadow of the rocks and hidden from the visitors, several rare species of flora blossom such as the Corsican Nanathea (camomile family) or the Arum “Fly-eater” and as far as fauna is concerned: Cory’s Shearwater, magnificent bird of the albatross family.
